POLICY
DATED: 06 NOVEMBER 2011
MMTG Policy Document:
Permanently applies to ALL members and entrants to
MMTG organised competitions from noon on 06.11.11
___________________________________________________
MMTG, The premier throws’ and multi throws’organisation in the UK,
provides competition in all the events that exist in the world. On
mainland Europe and now for several years here in the UK these events take
place annually due only to MMTG, through our fixture list. The
organisation is run to the highest standards anywhere as all who have
taken part in our events will know. To provide this standard of competition is not cheap. When an entrant completes an entry form and
sends the relevant fees you are provided you comply with the entry
requirements ,- assured that you will be competing on the fixture
date,-the only exception is that the weather on rare occasions may make
use of the venue unwise/dangerous. This is the ONLY exception.
For most as is their wish all other concerns such as how the meeting is
organised and the costs involved can be an irrelevance,- fair enough. The
organisation is run on a professional business like basis with audited
accounts and so all members will know the costs involved even if they do
not know the detail. Also one of my roles within the organisation as
secretary involves me (unpaid), as I gladly do doing all the entrants
processing- booking venues- buying and maintaining equipment of the
highest specifications for MMTG’s use,- the list goes on…As a
professional organisation don’t think that I have unlimited time to cater for every entrants wants or needs,- because if you do you are
a bigger fool than you probably are!
I now state a policy which most people already know and accept as a
consequence of participation in our sport. This applies from the date and
time above. Please read and note that this is a permanent MMTG policy.
POLICY STATEMENT.
OTHER THAN FOR A CANCELLED
EVENT,- NO ENTRANT TO ANY MMTG ORGANISED COMPETITION SHALL BE REFUNDED
ENTRY FEES OR GIVEN CREDIT IF THEY FAIL TO TURN UP AND AND COMPETE. THERE ARE NO
EXCEPTIONS OTHER THAN CANCELLATION DUE TO THE WEATHER BY THE ORGANISERS.
Please be aware that your entry puts MMTG in a
position where we assure your entry in a competition. You have the
responsibility to comply. If you do not wish to then you have the option
not to enter in the first place.

POLICY DATED: 28
APRIL 2010
MMTG
Local Hubs.
These were invented and instigated by the current secretary
in 2007,- have been mentioned since and described at MMTG AGMS.-since
early 2007.
The purpose of these hubs is so that members (a member you will recall
must be 18+ years of age) can practice with others,- events usually of the
multi-throws type, which are a major feature of MMTG competitions. For
under 19’s,- both Men and Women should be supervised and led by an MMTG
member. It is assumed that this supervisor is also qualified and is CRB
checked. MMTG you will understand, cannot really be involved if this
current
UK
legislation is not adhered to. Provided it is then as now the idea is that
these events can be used just for fun and to practice technique.
Competitions which are organised at local hubs,- not being MMTG
Championships can have four to six throws and any records at MMTG club and
British level will be ratified by MMTG,- provided that:
* Overall supervision and control is by a paid up member.
* The conditions regarding CRB checks are followed.
* A qualified field judge at grade3/level3 (or above) is present to check
the correct procedures are being followed and to take charge of any such
competition in so far as judging is concerned.
* The results of any such competition are submitted to the secretary a
reasonable time (usually one week) afterwards with the date, venue and
results and the name, grade and county/area association of the supervising
field judge present.
By giving MMTG local hubs an airing again it is hoped this will encourage
athletes young and not so young to practice throwing of the multi-throws
type and in so doing enable our ranks to flourish and to provide the
Masters Throws athletes of the future.
Clive S.S. Howell (Chairman,Secretary,Organizer. MMTG)
IMPORTANT SUPPLEMENT TO THE ABOVE,
SEE BELOW
EFFECTIVE: 22 NOVEMBER 2011
Members
will please avail themselves of the above method of practising our sport.
You should use the procedures as guidelines BUT failure to do so- be warned
may involve you (should you be unlucky!) in you not being insured with
possible consequences.
MMTG
recommends this method but no one in anyway connected with MMTG (other
than the member or members concerned) shall be held accountable in the
case of an accident and possible resulting litigation. This applies even when
the instructions are followed as they must be ! From 22 November 2011,
I have decided that the concept is as originally intended,- that is to
practice our sport and for fun.
As of this date I will no longer receive or expect to receive results of
any such competition.
The results will no longer be
considered as any form of record either as club or higher level record.
The original concept of practice and fun still remains. Any
‘competitions’ are local and only significant as far as MMTG is
concerned when they enhance a members enthusiasm and participation in our
sport.

POLICY DATED: 22 MARCH 2010
MMTG Statement of policy- in
force from 22 MARCH 2010 (THIS IS A PERMANENT
ARRANGEMENT).
ENTRY FORMS.
****PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND FULLY****
(PLEASE READ SUPPLEMENT AT FOOT OF
PAGE: 02.01.12)
Entry forms have a closing date and a no late entries statement.
The reason for this is obvious,- generation of result sheets, allocation
of medals,- putting the competing athlete on lists (or in pools),- the set
up for the meeting etc. cannot take place for the meeting without the form
and it is this that creates the need for the entry form to be in on time.
FROM THE ABOVE DATE ENQUIRIES AFTER THE CUT OFF DATE WILL BE REFUSED.
MMTG members are important to us all BUT so are the officers who
run and organise the various meetings.
MMTG policy from now on recognises
(as will members) the importance (and time required) to organise meetings.
Any arrangements made with members or others prior to the cut off
date by the current or future secretary will still be honoured,-HOWEVER-this
policy statement should be read as a means to encourage ALL members who
have not supplied the required entry form**by
the cut
off date or
who do not have a prior arrangement to
read this
MMTG policy
statement –BLUNTLY SPEAKING-you should
comply with entry requirements or- YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO
COMPETE AT THE MEETING.
Clive S.S.Howell-( MMTG
Chairman/Sec./MAIN
organiser)
[22.03.10]
**: Also you must comply with new entry policy,- which
is ON LINE ENTRY preferred AND if you do enter on line submit,-
